(New York - February 21, 2013) Producers Steven Van Zandt and Maureen Van Zandt are proud to present THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM which will premiere on Broadway this spring for 15 performances only.  Directed by Steven Van Zandtand Marc Brickman, with music by Felix Cavaliere and Eddie Brigati, THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM has stage, video and lighting design by Brickman and has music production and is written by legendary guitarist Van Zandt.  Performances begin Monday, April 15th at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre (226 West 46th Street), and will play through Sunday, May 5th.  Opening night is set for Thursday, April 18th.  Larry Magid and BASE Entertainment are executive producers of THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM.

A hybrid of a rock ‘n’ roll concert and a Broadway show, THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM marks the first time The Rascals, America’s classic blue-eyed soul band, have played together since 1970.  Original band members  Felix Cavaliere(keyboard & vocals), Eddie Brigati (vocals), Dino Danelli (drums) and Gene Cornish (guitar) will present a complete concert performance including songs that captured the spirit of America in the 1960’s, such as their smash hits “Good Lovin’,” “Lonely Too Long,” “It’s a Beautiful Morning,” “How Can I Be Sure” and “Groovin’.”  The production will also feature the history of the iconic group told through archival footage, narration, and dramatic film segments viewed on the latest LED screen technology.

THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM made its debut at the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.  Originally scheduled to play three performances in December 2012, an additional three shows had to be added to accommodate the demand for this unique concert experience.  The production was named one of the Top 5 Concerts of the year by the Huffington Post.  The New York Times proclaims, “The original four-man band is alive and stomping,” Rolling Stone says “The soul of The Rascals is intact,” Showbiz 411 exclaims “Run, do not walk!”and WCBS-FM raves “The band doesn’t disappoint!  It’s shocking how much Felix Cavaliere sounds like his younger self, Gene Cornish plays with the fury of a garage rocker playing at a ‘battle of the bands,’ Dino Danelli’s drumming propels the band and Eddie Brigati dances as good and sings as soulfully as he did all those decades ago.

"When THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM sold out at the Capitol Theatre, and performances had to be added this past December, we saw very clearly that there is an enduring love for the music of The Rascals,” said producer Steven Van Zandt.  “The Rascals created music that inspired a generation – and that feeling has lived on through their original fans and the legions of new fans that have discovered their music over the years.  There is no better place than Broadway to celebrate this extraordinary reunion!”

Tickets for THE RASCALS: ONCE UPON A DREAM go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 22nd Ticket prices will range from $27-137 (including a $2 facility fee) and can be purchased by visiting www.Ticketmaster.com, or calling 877-250-2929.  A special ticket package with an opportunity for a meet and greet with the band will be available for $300.  Packages are strictly limited.

The performance schedule for the first week will be as follows:  Monday at 7pm, Tuesday at 7pm, Thursday at 7.30 pm, Friday at 8pm and Saturday at 8pm.  The performance schedule for the second and third weeks will be as follows: Tuesday at 7pm Wednesday at 7pm, Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 5pm.

PATTI ISSUES, Ben Rimalower’s long-running, smash hit solo play
"With an engagingly spontaneous delivery and a nose for sharp,
observational comedy, Mr. Rimalower’s funny, tender reminiscence rides
an infectious rainbow high.” – New York Times

Investigates his troubled history with his gay father and the
musical-theater salvation he found in Broadway diva Patti LuPone. With
a mix of comic irreverence, stark candor and show-biz bravado, PATTI
ISSUES poignantly explores the challenges facing LGBT parents and
children while shining unique light on gay men’s time-old obsessions
with divas. PATTI ISSUES has become a must-see show on New York’s
downtown theater scene, garnering great word-of-mouth from attendees
such as Alan Cumming, Michael Kors, Justin Vivian Bond, Perez Hilton
and Ms. LuPone herself. (“I was moved,” she said. “He's a very
talented man and I'm so proud of him.”)

Included as “Best New York Theater of 2012,” The Advocate called the
show “smart, poignant and dishy as hell,” while Time Out New York
raved, “Meticulously scripted and executed, with poignant punch lines
that deliver laughs, emotion and insight." PATTI ISSUES received the
Bistro Award for Solo Play and M.A.C. Award for New York Debut.
